Digitalisation requires
efficient processes
- Creating the conditions for digitised processes
- New methods and tools to coordinate process services and digitisation projects without conflict
- Streamline and improve processes and thus prepare and strengthen them for digitalisation
- High and sustainable increases in efficiency
Lean Digital

What is Lean Digital?
Modern, efficient and customer-oriented processes need digital interfaces to the customer, but digitalisation also needs efficient processes as a basis – speed only works in an efficient and stable environment. We see these challenges as an opportunity in the sense of the lean management philosophy: it is about improving existing organisations and systems to such an extent that digitisation delivers added value for the customer.
What does Lean Digital entail?
Our format conveys important key points in order to be able to coordinate process services and digitisation projects more conflict-free. For example, the areas of standardisation (simplifying and streamlining processes), effectiveness (recording central digitalisation requirements for process performance), efficiency (simple and efficient control mechanisms) and process management (controlling the necessary digital infrastructure) play a central role. A common thread navigates through the key points of the format:
- Lean principles and methods
- Recognising/understanding waste
- Process and customer orientation
- Identify process performance and capabilities
- Identify and specify digitalisation requirements
- Process design and implementation of digital requirements in the process environment
What are the advantages of Lean Digital?
- Harmonisation of process performance on the one hand and digitalisation projects on the other hand
- Establish a clear generation plan to first improve relevant processes and derive digitisation requirements
- Red thread and navigation for digitisation projects of customer-oriented processes
- Avoiding local sub-optimisation and creating a common understanding of processes and digital solutions
- Focusing on cultural levers to win, motivate and integrate teams and stakeholders
